Vidrun ("the app") lets you capture short video clips during a run, turn them into a film-styled video, and revisit them by date. The videos you capture and your running data (distance, pace, time, route) are stored only on your device. The app collects anonymous usage and diagnostic data (never linked to your identity) to improve app quality.
The app uses location only while you are running (When In Use) to record your distance, pace, and route. So that recording is not interrupted while the screen is off or the camera view is active, location updates continue in the background — and the blue location indicator is shown in the status bar at all times during this. Location data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to any server; the app does not access location when you are not recording a run. The app never requests Always authorization.
The app uses the camera to capture 3-second clips of your running moments, and the microphone to include ambient sound in those clips. The captured video and audio are stored only on your device and are not transmitted externally unless you choose to share them.
To improve app quality, the app collects the following anonymous information. It is not linked to your identity and is not used for cross-app tracking (App Tracking).
The anonymous identifier resets if you reinstall the app. This information does not identify or single out any individual.
Your videos and records are stored only on your device, so deleting them in the app or removing the app deletes them.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
